Scripture of the day Psalm 118  has always been a favorite of mine.  Different verses stand out and speak to me. 

 

Today, I knew what I wanted to use to illustrate it.

 

 

Started out with just the top part but the page looked lonely.  So I added the rest.

 

 

I used Prismacolor colored pencils and Pigma Color Technology Pens.  I have the Micron Fine Line Color Set in the .45mm size.  These are archival ink and do not bleed through the page.

 

I won't illustrate a page a day I know but there are several that stand out that I want to illustrate so I will be adding more as the Spirit moves me.

JOURNALING A BIBLE 

I started noticing posts with bibles that had beautiful pictures about scriptures.  I started researching and fell in love with the concept.  I found a bible to use.  

The different sources I read suggested starting with a scripture you feel comfortable with.  I waited until I found one that spoke to me.

I am starting small.  I bought Bible-Hi-Glider ACCU-GEL Highlighters.  They glide on dry so they don't  bleed through the page.  They have suggestions on which colors to use for the type of highlighting.  I tend to use the color that speaks to me that day.

I used colored pencils to draw and write.  I hope to chronicle my faith journey of Scripture and art.
